Aaron Donald may be retired from the NFL, but a discus throwing champion is confident he can still have an elite career in athletics.
TMZ Sports caught up Reggie Hunters — who threw the disc for the red, white and blue at the 2020 Tokyo Games — at LAX this month … and he said he’s sure Donald could throw the shot put at the 2028 Olympics in LA, if he felt like it.
Jagers told us there isn’t a lot of technique involved… and given the raw power and money for training that Donald possesses, it wouldn’t shock him for a second if he saw the former Aries have success in the event.
Jagers even said he’d stop by to help Donald prepare…by sending a message to the future Pro Football Hall of Famer right at the airport.
“Aaron Donald, stop,” he said. ‘I know you just retired. But athletics, you could have a long career.”
It’s unclear if Donald has ever played the sport… but we do know the 34-year-old is still in insane shape. Just take a look at a workout he posted last week – looks like he can still rush the passer in the NFC West!!
