A look into the relationship between Diane Keaton and Woody Allen

In an interview with The GuardianKeaton said Allen was “the strongest person” she had ever met.
‘It’s made of steel. And speaking of work ethic, he’s one of the people who really taught me that you have to work hard,” she said. ‘But he wanted to. He is the most disciplined person I have ever known, with the exception of my father.”
Keaton continued, “But his discipline is a constant, whereas when my father retired, I think he lost sight of what he was doing. This guy? He’s going to practice that clarinet and tour with his band and make his one movie a year until they push him; he’s never going to stop. Who in the history of film has done that? He’s 78, he makes a movie a year, and he’s in complete control. How is that possible?”
When asked about the child abuse allegations against Allen, Keaton firmly stated that she had nothing to say other than, “I believe my friend.”
She also shared a tweet defending him from the backlash.
“Woody Allen is my friend and I continue to believe him,” she said. ‘It might be interesting to take a look at the 60 minutes interview from 1992 and see what you think.”
