A look inside ‘RHONJ’ star Melissa Gorga’s reunion with Jacqueline Laurita
The reunion between the former friends took place earlier this week during a recording in Miami Real Housewives: Ultimate road trip.
Although neither Gorga nor Giudice are the main stars of the new show, they were invited to a party. Because this is the 20th year of the Real Housewives franchise, several past and current stars from the franchise appear.
When they saw each other, a source insisted that things were “snarky at first.”
After saying hello, a source shared that Gorga was initially nice, but he soon brought up the elephant in the room.
“Melissa confronted her and wanted to know what she had done to her,” the insider says.
“Jacqueline brought up some of the events, but honestly it’s been years since they’ve had a fight, and there was no point in retelling it all. Melissa really didn’t seem to know why Jacqueline was mad at her.’
As for how things turned out, multiple sources confirmed that “they made up.”
“They will never be best friends,” an insider emphasizes. “But they definitely cleared the air and it seemed like they were having fun together. It was clear they enjoyed seeing each other again after so many years apart.”
Giudice, who was present at the party, “did not participate” in the filming with Gorga and Laurita, multiple sources shared.
If Radar Recently reported, Giudice is said to be “totally on pins and needles and walking on eggshells around Melissa since they made up.”
With the future of RHONJ still unsure, an insider insisted that Giudice is “absolutely terrified that if she makes one wrong move it could spell doom in terms of escalating an issue and damaging their relationship again.”
“She knows they have to keep the peace RHONJ to hopefully return,” she added. “Producers have made it abundantly clear that they will not be filming another season where they disagree and refuse to be in each other’s presence again.”
An insider also claimed that Giudice “avoids putting herself in a situation with Melissa where she could say the wrong thing, misinterpret something she said or risk rocking the boat,” which could partially explain why she may not have wanted to come between Gorga and Laurita.
“For now, she’s focused on getting it RHONJ back and returns to it,” they repeated.
Giudice and Gorga were estranged for years, with a back-and-forth on-screen feud beginning in season 3.
Although they promised not to speak again, Giudice changed her mind last year and the family reunited.
