A look at the explosive relationship between Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards

The two met on the set of Good advice in 2000, although they didn’t strike up a romance until Richards guest-starred on Sheen’s series Spider city the following year.

In an interview with People, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum recalled watching the San Francisco Giants game at his apartment on their first date.

“I took the first step by kissing him,” she admitted. “He was Mr. Polite, such a gentleman.”

It was during the second date that Richards knew he was ‘The One’.

‘I knew this was the one, but I didn’t want to tell him. I didn’t want to scare him away by saying, “You’re my future husband!” and let him run for the hills,” she continued.

The Two and a half men actor also opened up about their first date in his debut memoir, The Book of Shine.

“I carefully explained to D that if we were in a restaurant and couldn’t watch, the most important thing on my mind would be the game. (The most important thing I could say out loud),” he writes. “She completely understood the idea and was thrilled to join me to celebrate my passion for baseball. We ate our Zone meals out of plastic bowls and hung out on every field when Bonds was at the plate.”

Sheen adds, “As we said goodnight in the elevator, D grabbed my face and pulled me into a long, passionate kiss. The baseball gods had cast some magic on our evening. I stopped thinking about the game.”
