Christina Haack is ‘cutting energy’ amid messy divorce from Josh Hall

Christina Haack is “saving energy” amid her ongoing divorce from her estranged husband Josh Hall.

Haack, 41, stood out to her Instagram stories on Monday, January 13 to share a photo of firewood burning in a large bowl. She captioned the post “energy cutting” and added emojis of a peace sign, as well as a wolf and a moon – a reference to the full Wolf Moon in the air that night.

The HGTV personality appeared to be involved in a wellness practice called ‘cut cord”, which energy healer George Lizos recently described on Goop.com.

“Toxic attachment cords… are deliberately created over time,” Lizos said. “The majority of these bonds are formed as a result of the time and energy you purposefully spend with others – moments shared and words exchanged. While these cords may have been positive at the beginning of a relationship, they have since become negative as the relationship deteriorated.”

While Haack was trying to let go of negative attachments, her ex, Hall, was trying became Instagram official with new girlfriend Stephanie Gabrys.

On Monday, Hall updated his Instagram Stories with a photo of himself and Gabrys cuddling by a fire pit with mountains in the background. “Happy 35th with this real life [angel]Hall captioned the photo, adding an angel emoji and tagging Gabrys.

Earlier this month a source revealed exclusively to We weekly that Hall had “met someone wonderful in Nashville, and they have been happily dating for some time.” The insider noted that while Josh “wasn’t trying to date,” he met someone who was a “perfect match.”

Meanwhile Haack revealed that her divorce battle with Hall intensified.

“We are going to appear in court, I hear,” she said on Thursday, January 9, in the episode of Radio Andy’s Jeff Lewis Liveclaiming that Hall “doesn’t want to do mediation” and concluding that he wasn’t moving the process.

“It’s going to be fun,” she told the host Jeff Lewis. “I can’t wait.”

Haack and Hall both have filed for divorce in July 2024 after more than two years of marriage.

This is evident from court documents obtained by UsHaack – who hired a divorce lawyer Laura Wasser – requested that neither party receive spousal support and wanted Hall to pay her attorney fees. Hall, meanwhile, sought spousal support from his ex and asked her to pay his legal fees.

“[The court hasn’t] still ordered me, but he asked me [for money]”, Haack, who is now reportedly dating businessman Christopher LaRoccaclaimed in her latest interview. “I already had to give something, but then he bought a Bentley. I gave him money to live and he bought a Bentley, but he doesn’t have a job either.”

In response to Haack’s latest interview, Hall’s spokesperson said Us: “Hall is unavailable for comment as he continues to live his life in the present and celebrates his beautiful new girlfriend’s birthday. That said, it’s sad that Christina has to resort to low blows about her ex Josh to promote her new show. She needs to focus on her new boyfriend and stop talking about Josh. Like the big one Mary Carey once sang, “Why are you so obsessed with me?” We wish Christina the best.”

Hall’s rep added, “Christina knows nothing about Josh’s life, and it’s sad that she continues to speculate. Her allegations are baseless.”
