Taylor Swift Reacts to Travis Kelce Breaking the Chiefs Touchdown Record
Taylor Swift subtly supported boyfriend Travis Kelce breaking a major Kansas City Chiefs touchdown record.
The pop star, 35, dropped a “like” on a Chiefs Instagram post honoring Kelce, also 35, who earned the most receiving touchdowns in KC history.
Kelce and the Chiefs played the Pittsburgh Steelers on Wednesday, December 25, with the tight end netting his third touchdown of the NFL season. His overall record now surpasses Tony Gonzalez.
“It’s everything to me. Tony has been a mentor to me, he has been there for me [with] all the questions I’ve ever had,” Kelce said in a post-game interview. “I feel like I’m still trying to fill that man’s shoes. He is such an incredible competitor and I have so much love for him. It is an honor to be able to talk to him.”
However, Swift was not present at Acrisure Stadium in Pennsylvania to watch Kelce and the Chiefs win 29-10.
Last year Taylor brought her parents, Scott And Andrea Swiftand her brother, Austin Swiftwith her to Kansas City, Missouri, for Christmas. At the time, the family attended Kelce’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium.
Despite a disappointing Christmas Day loss to the Chiefs in 2023, Kelce gave some insight into how he celebrated with Taylor and her family, crediting Austin, 32, with rekindling the Christmas spirit by dressing up in a Santa suit and hand out personal gifts.
“It was a full commitment. He killed it,” Travis recalled of himself and his brother by Jason Kelce “New Heights” Podcast in December 2023. “He made me feel like a kid because his gift to me came straight out of the bag.”
He added: “[He] handed me a VHS of my favorite football movie of all time… Little giants.”
Despite the game’s negativity, Travis expressed gratitude for his loved ones who helped save the holiday.
“It ended well with good Christmas spirit and great people,” he said. “That will always save Christmas, whether you lose to the Raiders or not.”
Earlier this month, We weekly exclusively revealed that Taylor was planning to host Christmas with her and Travis’ families this year.
The vacation comes just weeks after Taylor’s lockdown Eras tour in Vancouver on December 8. The 149-date tour ran from March 2023 to December 2024, spanned five continents, raised more than $2 billion and was attended by 10.1 million fans. Now she is ready to enjoy some much-needed rest.
“Taylor is exhausted,” a source exclusively shared Us earlier this month. “She’s excited for some relaxation and rest.”
Taylor’s time off naturally includes Travis, after having to contend with their busy schedules since the start of their relationship in the summer of 2023.
“Taylor plans to stay inside and hibernate [with Travis] for a while,” the insider said. “They want to do ‘normal things’ as a couple.”
As the couple considers the next step in their relationship, the source said their two families are “very intertwined,” adding that it feels “like they’ve been part of each other’s family.” [lives] for years.”
