Netflix Spy Show returns with action
Peter Sutherland is back and he is looking for a mole within the CIA who is planning to blow up Manhattan.
Netflix debuted the trailer for Season 2 of “The Night Agent” on Christmas morning, ahead of the livestreaming of the streamer’s first-ever NFL games on the platform.
Gabriel Basso returns as FBI agent Peter Sutherland in season 2 of the Netflix series, releasing January 23. After saving the President in Season 1, Peter is promoted to Night Agent by the secret organization Night Action. In the trailer, Peter is on the hunt for a mole at the CIA who is leaking American secrets after being betrayed during a mission. He goes looking for the leak and is afraid that Night Action is in danger. As his search continues, the mole sells top secret information to the highest bidder and gathers enough resources to build a bomb big enough to blow up Manhattan.
The cast includes Luciane Buchanan, Amanda Warren, Arienne Mandi, Louis Herthum, Berto Colon, Michael Malarkey, Keon Alexander, Brittany Snow, Teddy Sears, Navid Negahban and Rob Heaps.
“The Night Agent” was developed for television by Shawn Ryan, who serves as showrunner and executive producer through MiddKid Productions. MiddKid’s Marney Hochman also serves as executive producer along with Seth Gordon and Julia Gunn of Exhibit A, William Sherak, Paul Neinstein and Nicole Tossou with Project X, David Beaubaire with Sunset Lane Media, Paul Bernard, Munis Rashid and Guy Ferland. Sony Pictures Television is the studio.
