Sheldon Cooper 2.0! Jim Parsons ‘eyes big payday’ for nerdy spinoff
Jim Parsons may return to ‘The Big Bang Theory’ despite recently switching to live theater.

After dumping The Big Bang Theory in his final days, Jim Parsons hints at a big comeback as Sheldon Cooper in a possible spinoff.
Producers of the popular sitcom are working on a third spin-off, following the recently completed one Young Sheldon and the new series Georgie and Mandy’s first marriageRadarOnline.com can reveal.

Parsons provided a glimmer of hope when it came to returning to his role as Sheldon in a potential spinoff of “The Big Bang Theory.”

The yet-to-be-named spinoff recently added Brian Posehn, Kevin Sussman, and Lauren Lapkus to its cast, all of whom had recurring roles on the original. Big Bang theory.
Although no deals have been made yet with the main stars, including Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki, Parsons, 51, said a reprisal for his role as nerd Sheldon is not completely off the table.

The actor starred in the sitcom for twelve years and earned four Emmy Awards.

When asked if he would return for a reboot, Parsons said: “As we sit here now, no, but I would never say never either, because life just changes so much.
“You know, one of the things is that it was so special for what it was and what it is. And they call it lightning in a bottle for a reason, and you can bet it won’t be.”

Parsons called the hit series ‘lightening in a bottle’ and called the original episodes ‘so special’.

He added: “And then why should we do it? I don’t know if that’s how I feel about it now. But as I say, God willing, life is very long.”
The Big Bang Theory ran from 2007-2019 and earned the actor four Emmys and one Golden Globe.
Sources say Parsons has more than enough money to turn down any offer, but he’s still involved with Cuoco and Galecki — both of whom were hurt by his decision to skip the show’s final season in 2019.

An insider said: “Jim is doing what inspires him now. I don’t know if playing Sheldon, which he did for so long, provides the same inspiration anymore.
“But if they backed Brink’s truck up in front of him, it might be hard for him to say no!”

Parsons is currently starring opposite actress Katie Holmes in the Broadway revival of Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Our city.
He earned his first Tony Award nomination for his role in Playing mother earlier this year.

During the ceremony in June, the actor said he wanted to explore other roles and opportunities besides Sheldon.
He said: “There’s a part of me, maybe it’s the actor in me or whatever, that really needs to be nourished. That needs those other paths to go down and other characters to play to scratch the itch and grow and satisfy.
“Look, twelve years after that show was so beautiful and such a blessing. But I definitely still feel like I’m working muscles that I didn’t get the chance to play as much while I was doing that.”
