Arajet and Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic continue their efforts to promote the Dominican Republic | News

The Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic (MITUR) and Arajet hosted a new destination marketing activation at Miami’s LoanDepot Park during the game between the San Francisco Giants and the Miami Marlins, with Dominican baseball legend Juan Marichal as the event’s guest of honor.
The initiative presented the Dominican Republic’s premier tourism offering to thousands of baseball fans attending the game. Attendees engaged with themed activations throughout the stadium and participated in promotions and giveaways for airline tickets and free vacation stays at destinations across the country.
As part of the event, MITUR and Arajet also welcomed tour operators, travel consultants, media representatives, influencers and tourism industry stakeholders for an exclusive experience at the stadium’s Beach Club. The meeting highlighted the rich cultural heritage, culinary traditions and diverse tourist attractions of the Dominican Republic.
The activation marked the second joint event organized by Arajet and MITUR in partnership with the Miami Marlins as part of a broader strategy to strengthen the positioning of the Dominican Republic in the US market and create new opportunities to promote the destination.
During the event, guests gained first-hand insight into the country’s extensive tourism offering, as well as the growing air connections between the Dominican Republic and the United States.
Organizers highlighted that the United States remains the largest source market for international visitors to the Dominican Republic, underscoring the importance of innovative promotional initiatives that keep the destination top of mind among travelers and industry decision-makers.
“The United States is a priority market for the continued growth of Dominican tourism, which is why we remain committed to initiatives that allow us to connect directly with those who influence travel decisions,” said Manuel Luna, Arajet Chief Communications Officer. “Our partnership with the Department of Tourism and the Miami Marlins provides a valuable platform to showcase the essence of our country while strengthening ties between both markets.”
Through its participation in this initiative, Arajet reaffirms its commitment to supporting international efforts to promote tourism in the Dominican Republic and to expand air connectivity, making it easier for more visitors to experience the country, contributing to the sustainable growth of the country’s tourism sector.
