The Grenada Chocolate Festival returns for 2026 | News

Planting a cacao tree, making beauty products with cacao and sea moss and tasting, making and cooking with chocolate are just some of the experiences on offer during the Grenada Chocolate Festival 2026, from May 22 to 27.

The program includes tours, tastings and hands-on workshops to help visitors gain a deeper understanding of the ‘tree to bar’ journey of turning cacao pods on the tree into delicious chocolate and much more.

With the theme Reimagining Caribbean Cocoa – From Roots to Renaissance, the festival is an invitation for visitors to explore the island’s rich cocoa heritage, discover groundbreaking cocoa innovations and embrace the vibrant culture of Grenada’s world-class chocolate industry.

Highlights for this year include:

PLANT YOUR COCOA ROOTS
Plant a cacao tree on the agroforestry cacao farm of the non-profit organization Cocoa Farming Future Initiative.

The visit to the farm proves that cocoa is much more than just chocolate. The visit to the farm will also look at the nectar of cocoa fruits, which can be enjoyed as juice or in cocktails, but can also be used to make wine and vinegar.

TREE-TO-BAR WORKSHOPS
The festival is the perfect opportunity to walk through lush plantations, meet passionate farmers and learn the craft of turning cocoa into artisanal chocolate.

Two of Grenada’s top chocolatiers, Lylette Russell from Crayfish Bay Organics and Melisha from House of Chocolate, will lead workshops on:

– Filling, decorating and finishing chocolates

CHOCOLATE TASTE & PAIRING

– A tasting of Grenadian rum, chocolate and spices combined with a chance to get hands-on with mixology at the Pandy Beach House
