Madeira boosts UK connectivity for summer 2026 | News

Madeira will boost connectivity from the UK for the summer season*, with increased frequency on both London and some regional routes.
London will remain a key destination for Madeira, with a consistent schedule of 31 weekly flights at the capital’s airports throughout the summer season, compared to an average of 28 weekly flights last summer. The Bournemouth service, which launched last summer, returns for the summer season, and Bristol will benefit from increased frequency, from four to five flights per week, offering greater flexibility for travelers from the South West.
In addition to London, Bournemouth and Bristol, travelers across Britain will continue to benefit from multiple weekly flights from Belfast, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Jersey, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle, providing easy access to Madeira nationwide and reinforcing Madeira’s position as an easily accessible European island destination.
This continued strong connectivity allows travelers to experience Madeira as a summer destination, with its vibrant events calendar including highlights such as the Flower Festival (April 30 to May 24), celebrating the island’s floral heritage with colorful displays and parades, including the Flower Parade, which will take place on two Sundays for the first time this year (May 3 and 17); the Atlantic Festival (June 5-28), celebrating the arrival of summer; Classics in Magnolia (July 25-26), featuring some of the region’s best classical music; and the Madeira Wine Festival (27 August to 13 September), celebrating the grape harvest season, alongside the island’s renowned natural beauty, outdoor experiences and mild year-round climate.
