‘Dawson’s Creek’ star Obi Ndefo has died at the age of 51
Obi Ndefoan actor best known for his role as Bodie Wells in “Dawson’s Creek” has died … according to a Facebook post from his sister.
Nkem Ndefo shared the tragic news on Saturday, saying she was heartbroken by the death of her younger brother and hoped he had finally found peace. She did not share a cause of death.
Obi got his start in Hollywood in the mid-1990s, appearing in small roles on shows like ‘Star Trek: Voyager’, ‘3rd Rock From the Sun’ and ‘Angel’… before getting his big break in ‘Dawson’s Creek’ . .”
Ndefo appeared in ten episodes of ‘DC’ and played Bodie Wells during the six-season dating period Nina Repeta‘s Bessie Potter during his time on the show.

Maria-Margaret Humes – who played Ndefo’s mother on the show – posted a loving tribute to him after news of his death broke. He called him a bright, shining light, despite all the adversities he faced.
Among those setbacks, Ndefo lost both legs in 2019 when a driver struck him while he was putting groceries in his car, completely severing one leg and requiring the other to be amputated.
Obi used his own experiences to help others… by creating a podcast about dealing with major traumas like the one he faced.
Obi turned 51.
