Billy Bob Thornton gets naked as Cooper suggests

SPOILER ALERT: This post contains spoilers from Season 2, Episode 7 of “Landman,” “Forever Is an Instant,” which premiered Sunday, December 28 on Paramount+.

Well, this week’s episode of “Country Man” is officially the craziest and hottest ever! Of course it ends with a romantic proposal, but that’s about it each fan mentally prepared for that first scene? Let’s just say the room service waitress wasn’t the only one who almost walked away screaming! Brace yourselves as we run through this week’s episode.

  • Oh man, it starts with Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) farting and showing a blurry photo of his, um, little country man? Holy mole!
  • What a chaotic opening! Tommy didn’t even know he was traumatizing the hotel worker (Ana Ming Bostwick-Singer).
  • Tommy, could you maybe turn away or hide more from this conversation? It’s distracting that you’re at full mast.
  • “Don’t fuck with my omelet!” Am I hallucinating this episode?
  • Thanks for that last shot of a fully erect Tommy.
  • Overall, this is a pretty hot episode of “Landman” from the jump!
  • Rebecca (Kayla Wallace) loves Charlie (Guy Burnet) so much! It’s shocking to see her loving facial expressions.
  • “We have breakfast on the ocean floor.” It helps that he’s a hottie, but Charlie’s monologue about the geology of the area really sings through Taylor Sheridan’s writing.
  • “Wildcatting” seems too stressful as a non-gambler.
  • Ooh, I see a metaphor! Just as she is looking for oil, Rebecca is looking for oil by opening her heart to Charlie!
  • So wait, Tommy did have sex with an omelet to piss off Angela (Ali Larter)? Gosh!
  • Damn, who knew Dale (James Jordan) was such a smooth talker?
  • Oh no: is Boss (Mustafa Speaks) talking about retiring soon, foreshadowing his death?
  • TL (Sam Elliott) peeing on a hose? Sure, why not!
  • Good advice from TL to Tommy over lunch. Tommy is irritated all the time anyway… why not smell the roses every now and then?
  • I’m convinced Angela and Ainsley (Michelle Randolph) are tricking Cooper (Jacob Lofland) into thinking he smells, and he actually doesn’t. They say it so often that something strange is going on.
  • How could Nate (Colm Feore) suspect that Rebecca and Charlie were in a relationship? The name isn’t enough: does he have a miraculous sixth sense?
  • Now we’re talking about cock rings? Gosh, this episode!
  • Was anyone else legitimately afraid that TL died during the car ride?
  • Pulling a man’s mustache is dirty business, Tommy.
  • O Lord, what is that? Actually happens in these ‘man camps’?
  • “This whole place is a workplace violation.” Good conversation, Tommy.
  • “You can eat it or fuck it, I don’t really care.” Ah, Angela, never change.
  • Aww, Tommy is taking TL’s advice and appreciating his family. I’d love to see it!
  • Where did Cooper get a zillion candles for this proposal? It’s a fire hazard.
  • All in all, the proposal was pretty cute. Well done, Kuiper!
