Former Try Guy Ned Fulmer Reveals MS Diagnosis

Ned Fulmer revealed on Sunday that he has been suffering from multiple sclerosis for twelve years.
The internet personality and former member of The Try Guys broke the news in a video posted to YouTube on November 23 entitled “I have MS.” Fulmer explained that in 2013, after experiencing numbness in his hands, arms and back for several days, he went to the hospital for an MRI. The results revealed lesions in his brain.
“The doctor said, ‘You probably have MS,’ and I said, ‘What is that? Isn’t that really bad?’ Fulmer recalled. “I was completely in denial, [I] didn’t want to have MS.”
Fulmer said he hoped the numbness would go away on its own and left the hospital. However, the symptoms worsened. He recalled a serious scare when he walked to the bathroom in the middle of the night and collapsed from weakness. He was then rushed to hospital for further examination and care.
He said of the incident: “I remember sitting in that hospital bed and it getting worse and being so scared and wondering if I would be able to walk again.”
Fortunately, after receiving some medication, he was able to move his legs again. Fulmer said the recovery “felt like a miracle.” Now more than a decade before his diagnosis, Fulmer said a recent MRI came back “clean,” but added that he still struggles with “low-level sensory issues.”
“I kept it a really big secret for a long time, and I don’t think that was very healthy for me,” Fulmer said. “I’m trying to be more open about it, just having conversations, and I’m very grateful that I’m in remission, and I’m very happy that I get to make this video.”
