Sarah Paulson was visibly emotional when she left Diane Keaton‘s home in the Los Angeles area Saturday, just hours after news broke that the Oscar-winning star had died.
Photos show the “American Horror Story” actress appearing distraught, at one point hugging someone outside the Brentwood residence before driving away in a black car. Several others were also seen gathering on the property as friends and loved ones paid their respects.
Paulson had a close relationship with Keaton over the years. The two were last spotted together at dinner in West Hollywood in 2021.
During a Interview magazine The same year, Paulson jokingly asked Keaton what made her heart sing, prompting Keaton to respond, “Of course, Sarah, you make my heart sing.”

As TMZ first reported…the LAFD responded to Keaton’s house around 8:08 a.m. Saturday, where paramedics transported one person — who sources confirmed was Keaton — to a nearby hospital. Send audio captured emergency workers who referred to a “person downstairs” at her address.
Diane was 79.
