Microsoft and OpenAI may be renegotiating their partnership

OpenAi is currently in “a heavy negotiation” with one of the largest investors and partners, Microsoft, According to the Financial Times.
The AI Startup has recently announced a major change in its industrial restructuring plans while it still wants to convert into a company-armed in a public benefit corporation profit, its non-profit organization will remain under control.
The FT says it spoke with several sources that Microsoft described, which has so far invested $ 13 billion in OpenAI, as an important hold -out that is needed to approve the restructuring.
Although the core of the negotiation is how much equity Microsoft will receive in the new for-profit entity, the companies are said to be re-negotiated about their broader contract, where Microsoft offers part of its equity to be specified in exchange for access to OpenAi technology developed after the current closure of 2030.
Sources also said the FT that these negotiations are complicated by the ever -competitive relationship between the two companies, as the company company of OpenAi has grown and as it strives for its extremely ambitious Stargate Infrastructure Project.
