‘Law & Order’, ” Law & Order: SVU ‘renewed on NBC
Both “Law & Order” and “Law & Order: SVU” have been renewed in NBC for the broadcast season 2025-2026, Variety has learned.
With the extensions, “Law & Order” returns for his 25th season, while “SVU” will be back for his 27th. These are the last remaining Dick Wolf shows on broadcast pending the word about new seasons. NBC has previously renewed all three “One Chicago” programs, while CBS has canceled two of the “FBI” shows produced by Wolf Entertainment and ordered a new show in that franchise with Tom Ellis.
Wolf Entertainment also has “Law & Order: Organized Crime” with Christopher Meloni, who recently launched his fifth season at Peacock.
The cast of “Law & Order” includes Hugh Dancy, Tony Goldwyn, Oelya Hallevi, Mehcad Brooks, Reid Scott and Maura Tierney. Wolf Executive produces together with Rick Eid, Pamela Wechsler, Alex Hall and Peter Jankowski.
Mariska Hargitay leads the cast “SVU” together with Ice T and Peter Scanavino. It was previously reported that Juliana Martinez and Octavio Pisano will leave the show at the end of this season. Wolf, David Graziano, Julie Martin, Hargitay, Norberto Barba, Kenneth Brown and Jankowski are executive producers on ‘SVU’. Michele Fazekas will participate in the show as a show runner for season 27.
Both shows are produced by Universal Television in collaboration with Wolf Entertainment.
