Diddy Trial is here, choosing a jury will be a big challenge

Clearly Will finally be confronted with a jury of his colleagues who will determine his fate for the rest of his life … but finding the right jury – for each side – becomes a Herculean task.

The defense will be much more difficult, because there is no such thing as an unbiased jury. Good luck finding a potential jury member in New York City – or somewhere else in this country, in that respect – that has not formed an opinion about this case.

Because the public position Diddy is guilty, public prosecutors have a big edge. Regarding the defense, the way to ask questions about Bias is not just asking whether a potential jury member can have an open mind. The way to do it … they ask if potential jury members ever held a position that was important to them, but were able to change thoughts, and they must be specific.

The other that plays in the game is pre-trial publicity with regard to sex steps of celebrities and sex involving minors. Many people think that both will play a role in the criminal case – that will not. There are no celeb sex tires and none of the criminal charges include minors.
