Excellent drama series Comment (updated 2 May 2025): Apply the drama!

The manager in the Emmy Race for Outstanding Drama Series is Apple TV +’S “Severance”, which was built at his first season momentum with a sleek, visually inventive second -year run. The streamer also collects support behind ‘Slow Horses’, where the performance of Gary Oldman again attracted critical praises.

At HBO/Max, the second season of “The Last of Us” continues to swell, with Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey and Isabela in the middle of the action. Although the dystopian summer bid rama is one of the biggest critical and commercial hits in HBO, it comes into the race like something of a dark horse – especially because of the shocking narrative turn in its second episode. Yet the series may not be pronounced with strong versions and public investments on the side.

In the meantime, “The White Lotus” from Mike White returned with his third season, with a new setting and cast shake-ups, although it is still too seen whether it can match the impact of his previous episode with mixed praise.

Netflix comes in with a stacked line -up, including the return of the worldwide phenomenon “Squid Game” (and with the third, and the last season during voting) and the political thriller “The Diplomat”, both were ready for strong prices. But the race is not just about established titles – there is already a first -year class that makes waves.

HBO/Max’s ‘The Pitt’, a moving procedure that anchors through a revival Noah Wyle could be the dark horse that is lurking to take it all home (maybe a surprise triumph with ‘Homeland’ season 1?). Hulu’s ‘Paradise’, with Sterling K. Brown into a career height turn, also injects new energy into the field.
