Aimee Lou Wood says that ‘SNL’ imitation ‘was in common and unhile’
They say that imitation is the genuine form of flattery, but “White Lotus” Breakout star Aimee Lou Wood would not agree.
The 12 April episode of “Saturday Night Live” contained a pre-tape spoof of the Mike White Drama series, which Sarah Sherman played as a parody version of Wood’s character, Chelsea. At one moment Hamm’s RFK, dressed as Rick van Walton Goggin,: “I have had these crazy ideas, such as what if we get all the fluoride from the drinking water? What would that do with the teeth of people?” The camera then unveils Shelman’s Chelsea, with an exaggerated accent and enlarged false teeth. She answers, “Fluoride? What is that?”
Wood wrote that she received “thousands of messages” of support after placing her complaints with the Late-Night Sketch Show. She later revealed that she even got ‘apologies from’ SNL ‘.
