Jokes about Bill Cosby, Liberals
Shane Gillis returned to “Saturday Night Live” as a host for the second time on March 1. This time the show did that not Open with him who plays President Trump; James Austin Johnson took over that role per usual in a cold open recreating Trump vs. Zenskyy.
After the opening, Gillis entered the stage for a bit of his own stand-up routine. After talking both the pleasure of Trump and former President Biden, he then compared liberals with famous villains in the universe of the “Star Wars”.
“You are pretty liberal here. Look, I understand that I am liberal, guy, it feels good. It’s powerful. It is too powerful, guy. It is just like the Sith. You lose yourself, “he said laughing.
Although the audience did not seem to respond well, Gillis then joked that he was about to “lose” a little more with a joke about white men who asked their girlfriends about their earlier partners. ‘You don’t want to be on Tinder, [writing,] “Have you ever had sex with a black guy before?” “He asked. “It’s a embarrassing thing to ask. It’s weird. I did it. I am not proud. ”
Towards the end of his monologue, the comedian began to talk about his love for historical documentaries, in particular the civil war of Ken Burns.
“It’s 900 hours. Nobody on Earth has ever finished it. It is also Kryptonite for women. If you turn on that, they will fall asleep immediately, “he said. ‘That is actually a bit of Cosby tip for you. Who needs if we have if we have ‘Ken Burns Presents: the history of the buffalo’ on PBS. “
For the first time, Gillis organized “SNL” just over a year ago in February 2024, and made his “SNL” debut five years after he was fired for earlier racist, homophobic and misogynistic comments.
