OpenAI rolls out its AI agent, Operator, in several countries

Openi said On Friday it was rolled out the operator, his so-called AI agent who can perform tasks on behalf of users, for Chatgpt Pro subscribers in Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the UK and more countries.

OpenAi said the operator will be available in most places where Chatgpt is available, apart from the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland.

Operator, launched in the US in January, is one of the different “AI agent” tools on the market that can be instructed to do things such as book tickets, restaurant reservations, reports of file spending or shopping on e -commerce websites.

The tool is currently only available for subscribers to the Chatgpt Pro plan of $ 200 a month. You can only use it via a Special webpageBut the company has said that it is planning to make the operator available at all chatgpt customers. Operator runs on a separate browser window (with which users can have control at any time) to complete tasks.

There is sufficient competition in this space, with companies such as Google, anthropic and Rabbit Construction agents who can perform similar tasks. However, the Google project is still on a waiting list, Anthropic gives access to his agent interface via an API and the Rabbit action model is only available to users who own its device.
