‘9-1-1: Nashville’ Chris O’Donnell raises

Chris O’Donnell is cast in a leading role in ABC’s upcoming spin-off series “9-1-1: Nashville”, Variety has learned.

The spin-off of “9-1-1” was originally announced in February, with the show planned to debut during the broadcast season 2025-2026. Plot details are still scarce, but the show follows the life of First Responders in the titular city of Tennessee.

O’Donnell will play the leading role as Captain Don Sharpe, who is described as’ a robust fire brigade captain and Rodeo driver who runs the busiest fire station of Nashville with his beloved son. Don is a dedicated husband and family man, but he has his secrets. ‘

It now marks the second lead role of O’Donnell in a TV procedural spider -Ooff. He previously played in the CBS series “NCIS: Los Angeles”, which ran for 14 seasons on that network and more than 300 episodes of 2009-2023. His other TV credits are ‘Gray’s Anatomy’, ‘Bupkis’ and ‘The Company’. In film, O’Donnell is known for rolling in “Batman Forever” and “Batman & Robin”, as well as “scent of a woman”, “The Chamber” and “Fried Green Tomatoes.”
