7.5 million viewers premiered week

“Jeopardy” maintained his status as the most viewed syndication series on television in his premiere week and debuted with 7.5 million viewers.
That is an increase of 4% compared to his premiere weekly the year before, according to live + data on the same day of Nielsen. The Trivia show hosted by Ken Jennings was one of the seven produced by CBS Media Ventures to make the top 10 most viewed syndicated series in the week of 8-14 September. The other six were “Wheel of Fortune” at number 2, “Inside Edition” at number 4, “Entertainment Tonight” at number 5, “Hot Bench” at number 6, “The Drew Barrymore Show” at no. 8 and “Flip Side” at number 9.
Of those seven, five growth of the premiere of the year achieved an annual basis. Together with the 4% bump for “Jeopardy”, “The Drew Barrymore Show” rose with 8% to 1.3 million viewers and he became the number 2 syndicated talk show after “Live with Kelly and Mark.” “Hot Bench”, the top -syndicated court show, achieved his best premiere week in four years and last year improved by 15% to reach 2.1 million viewers. “Inside Edition” led syndicated newsmagazine series, which grew by 1% to reach 3 million viewers, and “Flip Side” jumped with 17% from the first season to reach 1 million viewers.
