4 takeaway trends from Taylor Swift’s New Eras Tour costumes
Are you ready? Taylor Swift just added four spectacular new looks to the ‘Eras Tour.’
When she took the stage at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium on Friday, October 18, she wowed fans and Swifties everywhere with her style, including the first Reputation outfit that differs from the original, spanning five continents and 130 shows since the start of the tour in May 2023.
Swift, 34, and her longtime stylist, Joseph Cassell Falconerhave carefully curated the wardrobe and created a visual journey through every musical era. By selecting designers who can embody the essence of each album, they have created iconic looks that resonate with fans.
The duo has also introduced fresh interpretations of well-known styles, such as the navy blue bodysuits that shined during the Midnights sets or Alberta Ferretti’s ethereal maxi dresses that capture the spirit of Folklore And Always.
Now they’ve reimagined her Reputation catsuit, where the striking black and red Roberto Cavalli number was exchanged for a new version with one leg visible. Embroidered with a three-dimensional cobra coiling around her body, the serpent was pointed upward and covered in black borders, crystal stones and gold baguettes, adding a Midas touch to the ensemble’s sharp aesthetic.
Many Swifties speculate that reviving the Reputation outfit hints at a possible re-recording of the album, following successful reissues of 1989, Speak now, Red And Fearless.
One thing’s for sure: the suits unveiled last night are also in line with fall’s biggest trends, from one-leg trousers and jewel tones to statement faux fur coats and fringe galore.
While we wait to see if Swift has any more sartorial surprises in store on night two in Miami, we’re taking a closer look at all four of her latest costumes to inspire our own style era this season.
