$10.5 Million Mansion in Disney’s Elite Golden Oak Community Featuring Cartoon-Themed Rooms and a Replica of Walt’s Office

It’s almost impossible to actually live the kind of fairytale life depicted in Disney’s iconic films. Yet one beautiful mansion in Walt Disney World’s infamously exclusive Golden Oak community will give a cartoon lover the chance to get one step closer to true magic.

Golden Oak is a luxury residential community located within the Walt Disney World park in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, where homes are often designed with numerous nods to the company’s iconic films.

But even against that backdrop, the home at 10012 Hyperion Lane stands out as a beacon of Disney fandom.

Listed for $10.45 million with Chris Christensen And Julie Christensen by The Christensen Group/One Luxury InternationalThe home was originally built in 2019 and has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The decor is inspired by beloved Disney hits, including ‘The Little Mermaid’ and ‘Snow White’.

It’s exactly the kind of home prospective residents are looking for when house hunting in Golden Oak, with Chris noting that the neighborhood tends to attract a very specific buyer.

“They’re all Disney lovers. That community has the highest price per square foot of any community in Central Florida,” he says. “You pay a premium to live there. You have to love Disney to pay extra.”

“Maybe they went to Disney as a kid and are now successful entrepreneurs who have the opportunity to make this a full-time residence or buy it as a second home and use it for their family and rekindle their memories of Disney.”

Indeed, this house has seemingly endless nods to Disney. Some are immediately recognizable, others are more subtle, such as in the kitchen.

“There’s a hidden Mickey in the mosaic just behind the stove,” says Chris. “At first glance you only see gray tiles, but when you really look at it, it’s Mickey in that mosaic.”

The house also features a replica of it Walt Disney‘s office, which functions as a home office. Chris reveals that the space was “based on photos” of the real office.

And finally, Disney’s influence is undeniable in the “Seven Dwarfs” themed guest casita, which has two entrances.

“The casita can be accessed in two ways: from the main house and onto the patio, or inside the house, there is a hidden bookshelf with a secret doorway,” says Chris.

Many of the rooms open onto a courtyard, where an outdoor pool awaits.

The property has only had two owners and the only reason it is for sale is because the sellers moved on to another home in the Golden Oak community. Once people move to the popular neighborhood, they don’t want to leave.

“Being part of the community requires you to be a member of the private club (Summerhouse) and have access to a concierge who can help you with anything Disney related, whether it’s restaurant reservations or tickets to the park or a Disney cruise,” says Chris. “They can even pick you up at your home, take you to the park and take you home again.”

Summerhouse features a restaurant, fitness center and swimming pool. Members also have access to the spa and restaurants at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando.

Another extra? Car-free living.

“A lot of people in the community have electric golf courses,” Chris says. Yet the house has a garage for three cars.

Due to the exclusive nature of the community, homes cannot be rented as short-term rentals because they do not have proper zoning.

“We are definitely targeting a wealthy buyer who has an appreciation and love for Disney,” says Chris.
