Willie Nelson hosts a cannabis community event in support of Kamala Harris

Willie Nelsonis back on the campaign trail… announcing a Zoom call for the cannabis community he’s organizing to support Kamala Harris next week.

The singer-songwriter announced the event Saturday … and released a statement about the upcoming Zoom he’s running from his Luck Ranch in Texas.

In the statement, WN says cannabis is a path to healing… and candidates like Harris understand the importance of ending federal prohibition on the substance and looking at past penalties for marijuana possession.

Of course, Willie is no stranger to marijuana arrests…he’s ended up in handcuffs several times over the years for holding a piece of Mary Jane.

The virtual sesh will also be present Whoopi Goldberg, Brittney Spencer, Margo Priceand the governor of Colorado. Jared Polis — a meeting with a high profile, we must say.

Earlier this week, the current vice president announced that she supports the full legalization of marijuana… with plans to ensure that black men – who have been disproportionately affected by drug incarcerations – benefit from the industry.

Some marijuana industry experts are skeptical of the pledge… because it would require congressional approval – but it’s one of the least ambiguous positions a candidate has ever taken on the issue.
