Timothy Simons remembers working on the Infamous Folgers Christmas incest ad

It’s the most wonderful time of the year for Timothy Simons …because the holidays mean it’s time to get together with family and talk about the incest coffee commercial he infamously worked on.
We had Timothy at LAX and our photographer asked him about the 2009 Folgers Christmas commercial, colloquially known as the Folgers Incest ad.
Timothy tells us he directed some auditions for the commercial, which features a brother and sister being super flirty when he comes home for Christmas.
A lot of people get the feeling that the brother and sister in the ad want to pop… and Timothy tells us he understands why that’s the message for most people, even if the cast and crew didn’t get that vibe on set.
Timothy says he took the gig when he was just getting his footing in Hollywood… long before he starred in “Veep” and “Don’t Worry Darling.”
The Folgers Incest ad has spawned oral histories and even has its own Wikipedia page, and Timothy says people always tell him about it when December rolls around… and he tells us his thoughts on whether it should be redone .
