Singer Loomis provides insight into her botched version of the national anthem… and makes the case that she’s actually a good singer, despite her poor performance.
We spoke to an artist in Los Angeles on Friday after she asked to “go back” and start over while singing the US national anthem during Wednesday’s presidential debate on the free and equal elections.
However, Loomis defended that her nerves and her confusion over how the event was being broadcast caused her to make her impromptu request halfway through the song.

According to Loomis, she started the anthem strong but was interrupted by someone in production…noting that they weren’t ready for her and that she had to start over.
The singer said this exchange made her think the event wasn’t live… and that’s why she dared to do so asked for a repeat during the performance.

Loomis also noted that she wasn’t thinking straight, given the state of her nerves… and admitted that she was always afraid to tackle the national anthem.
She said… ‘It’s the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced since I was a little girl. Because, you know, everyone seriously stands up. Everyone is completely silent. It’s scary.’

Nevertheless, she’s said to be willing to perform the national anthem live again… as a tease for an upcoming appearance on “Good Morning America.”
Her conclusion was clear…she can really sing amazingly from “The Star-Spangled Banner” and you can watch our video above of her singing for proof!!!
