Richard Simmons’ family is ready for a legal war over Pauly Shore’s unauthorized biopic

Richard Simmons’ family is flexing its muscles as Pauly Shore promises to make an unauthorized biopic about the buzzy diet and workout personality. He says there were no plans to work with the comic before Simmons died at home in July at the age of 76.
A representative for the Sweating for the oldies icon announced before his death: “Richard and I do not support this project. It is unauthorized. I spoke to Pauly last year and told him that (Richard) is not ready to tell his story.”

Simmons also released his own statement on Facebook before his death, writing: “I just read that a man I don’t know is writing my biopic starring Pauly Shore.
“I don’t approve of this movie. I’m in talks with major studios to make my own biopic with some help. Wait for this movie.”
After Simmons’ death, his family and staff continued to criticize the case Encino man‘s attempts to launch his own film, which he hyped with a short film called The court jester.

A message created Simmons’ former associates revealed that Shore, 56, had not given up hope of playing the fitness guru three weeks ago.
The message read: “Pauly Shore recently commented to TMZ Paparazzi about his attempts to move forward with an unauthorized film about Richard.

“You saw what he had to say about the biopic here on Richard’s account.”
The statement also included a quote from Simmons’ older brother, Lenny, who insisted that Richard was determined not to participate in Shore’s project.

Simmons’ brother said: “Dicky definitely wrote his own posts. He worked on them a week in advance and watched them over and over to get the right message across.
“He often read them to Cathy and me in advance. What he did NOT do was text, email or call Pauly, not even to wish him ‘good luck’ as Pauly has said many times.”

Another source added: “Richard had made it clear to Pauly and his people that he wasn’t interested, but Pauly wouldn’t take no for an answer. He went to his grave on Shore in a rage!”
Despite both statements, Shore insists he has known Simmons “for years,” adding, “I’m him.”

After simmons made the post on social media about not knowing the Crazy movie star, Shore posted a message saying he had been “crying all night.”
A close friend of Simmons seethed, “Pauly clearly can’t or won’t take no for an answer.

“Richard’s family may have to take legal action to get Pauly to quit!”
As RadarOnline.com reported, the aerobics advocate shocked the world when he suddenly went into hiding in 2014 and has been living as a recluse for the last decade.

The exact cause of the sports icon’s death is still unknown.
However, Simmons’ former housekeeper claimed he died of a heart attack.
