Muro also claimed that Simmons turned down an offer from his former manager, Catalano, to work on a documentary about the star’s life before his death.

Michele Matz, who was Simmons’ assistant from 2001 until his death, filed an affidavit on Muro’s behalf, revealing emails from Simmons that showed how much he despised Catalano.

One email said: “I don’t want a check from him. I don’t want him to make a documentary about me and I never want to hear his name again. He tore my life apart. I’m sure he will do it without my permission. I don’t want anything from him.

“Don’t worry about writing me back, nothing you can say will make me feel better. Don’t accept that check. I’m so upset I can barely breathe.”
