Player 456 returns to the battlefield
Netflix has released a new teaser trailer for season 2 of ‘Squid Game’.
The trailer was unveiled during the European comic con Lucca Comics & Games. Series stars Lee Jung-jae and Wi Ha-jun appeared on stage, as did series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk.
In the trailer, Seong Gi-hun, aka Player 456 (Lee), re-enters the Squid Game after winning at the end of Season 1. Now armed with the knowledge of what the game is really about, he attempts the lives of other players while trying to convince them to log out and end the game once and for all.

Season 2 of “Squid Game” will be released on Netflix on December 26. Along with Lee and Wi, Lee Byung-hun also returns as the mysterious Front Man responsible for running the game.
Hwang created the series and serves as director and executive producer, while Kim Ji-yeon also executive produces. Firstman Studio produces the series.
It was previously announced that “Squid Game” would return for a third season, which will also be the show’s last. “Squid Game” originally premiered in 2021 and quickly became the most-watched show in Netflix history. It currently has over 2.2 billion hours watched, which equates to approximately 265 million views Netflix’s Best TV Chart of All Time.
Season 1 was also nominated for 17 Emmys, with the show winning six, including one for Best Actor in a Drama for Lee and another for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama for Lee You-mi.
