“That scene was so surreal to shoot,” says Gibson. “It was one of the last days and it felt appropriate. It is very agile to be on that boat, and that kill felt a bit special. It feels holy because you have all the plastic wrap and everyone is very quiet, and it has this energy with someone who is recorded on the table. Showrunner Clyde Phillips, who served in the same role for seasons 1-4 of the original series and the follow-up ‘New Blood’ from 2021, says the importance of Spencer to increase Dexter’s maturity as a serial killer with a conscience was crucial to this ” To be completely ‘formed’.

If they can delve deeper into the world of Young Dexter, both men have their own wish list for which questions they want to answer.

“Something I thought of in the first season is that Dexter has certain ties with characters from the original,” he says. “It would not surprise me if secrets tied him to those characters.
