OpenAI plans to integrate Sora’s video generator into ChatGPT

OpenAI is planning to eventually integrate his AI video tool, Sora, directly into his popular Consumer Chatbot -app, Chatgpt, said business leaders during a Friday -hours session on Discord.

Nowadays Sora is only available via a special web app OpenAI that was launched in December, with which users have access to the AI video model with the same name to generate a maximum of twenty seconds long cinematic clips. The product leader of OpenAi for Sora, Rohan Sahai, said that the company has plans to place Sora in more places and expand what Sora can create.

OpenAi initially brought Sora to the market for creatives and video production studios in the months prior to the December launch. Now the company makes a more joint effort to broaden the attraction of its AI Video Creation tool.

Sahai said that OpenAi is actively working on a way to make Sora accessible within Chatgpt, to marry the two products, although he refused to offer a timeline. The version of Sora that eventually comes to Chatgpt may not offer the same level of control compared to Sora’s Web app, indicated Sahai, where users can work and sew images together.

OpenAi is possible to attract users to chatgpt by having them generate Sora videos from the chatbot. Placing Sora in Chatgpt can also encourage users to upgrade to the Premium Subscription Slags from Chatgpt, which can offer higher limits for generating video prodes.

One of the reasons why OpenAi Sora launched was like a separate web app to maintain the simplicity of chatgpt, Sahai explained during office hours.

Since the launch, OpenAI has expanded Sora’s web experience, so that users have made more ways to browse the community -generated videos of the community. Sahai also said that OpenAi “would like to build” an independent mobile app for Sora, and noted that the Sora team is actively looking for mobile engineers.

OpenAi also wants to expand the generation options of Sora to images.

OpenAi is working on an AI image generator powered by Sora, Sahai said, who confirms rumors about such a project. Although Chatgpt already supports the image generation, powered by the Dall-E 3 model from OpenAi, a Sora-driven image generator can possibly take user photos that are more photoristicistic.

Sahai added that OpenAI also works on a new version of Sora Turbo, the model that is currently driving the Sora Web App.
