Only murders in the building Season 4: Every suspect in Sazz’s death
Sazz PatakiMany theories have already emerged about her death – and the perpetrator behind her murder Only murders in the building season 3.
The mystery was introduced in the season 3 finale when Charles’ (Steve Martin) stunt double, Sazz (Jane Lynch), was shot while on her way to tell Charles something at his apartment.
Season 4 continues with Charles, Oliver (Martijn Kort) and Mabel (Selena Gomez) initially unaware of what had happened. The killer cleaned up the crime scene, removed Sazz’s body and tricked Charles into thinking she was texting him.
Towards the end of the premiere, the trio collected clues that led them to Arconia’s incinerator. There they found the remains of Sazz’s burned body.
The group’s search for Sazz’s killer left them wondering if she was the target at all – or if the bullet was intended for Charles. As a result, the list of potential suspects grew as Charles, Mabel and Oliver continued their investigation.
Scroll down for a guide to every suspect in Sazz’s (or Charles’ almost) murder:
Vince Fish, aka Stink Eye Joe
Motive: Charles called Vince (Richard Child) as one of the Westies – people living on the other side of the Arconia – who apparently have it out for him. After meeting Vince, Oliver and Mabel realize that his “stink eye” on Charles is just a highly contagious case of pink eye. Anyway, Vince and the other neighbors on his floor seem to be targeting people from other parts of the building.
Alibi: Oliver and Mabel investigated Vince’s apartment and saw that his windows were painted shut, meaning he couldn’t shoot a gun from there.
Inez, Alfonso and co. also called the sauce family
Motive: The only information Charles has about the family across the street is that they kept looking at him through the window as they stirred the sauce. It turned out that Inez (Daphne Rubin-Vega) was in love with Charles and that’s why she always looked at him. That made her husband, Alfonso (Desmin Borges), thankfully, and that felt like the perfect reason why someone would want to kill Charles.
Santa Claus forever
Motive: Although Charles, Oliver and Mabel have yet to encounter the last Westie, he was also mentioned as a potential subject because his window is where the bullet may have come from.
