MrBeast received no special treatment at pyramids, filmed after hours
Mr. Beast is defended by a renowned Egyptian archaeologist … which the YouTuber clarified it didn’t spend the night at the Great Pyramids of Giza while filming for an upcoming video.
Egyptologist Dr. Zahi Hawassthe country’s former Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, tells TMZ that MrBeast paid a small fee to film inside the pyramids for seven days in early December, but made it clear to us that no amount of money would allow them to sleep inside the ancient structures.

Instead, Dr. Hawass tells us that the YouTuber was allowed to film his project in the pyramids once the public tour ended each day, and then went to sleep at a camp set up five to five miles away. We’re told this is standard protocol for people wanting to film at the pyramids – so there was no special treatment for MrBeast.
Dr. Hawass spoke to us about a TikTok clip that went viral this week, in which MrBeast shared his plans to be a podcaster Noah Lyles about getting permission to explore the pyramids for 100 hours.
But MrBeast’s journey is already over – he arrived in Cairo on December 4 for a seven-day filming session – when Dr. Hawass tells us that he joined the YouTube star to film scenes showing the Sphinx and the chambers in the Great Pyramid of Giza.
He said he liked MrBeast and appreciated him using his platform to set the record straight, debunking the wild myth that aliens built the pyramids.
