Lily Collins and Charlie McDowell’s family album with daughter Tove
Lily Collins and husband Charlie McDowell Were in the clouds after they became parents in January 2025.
The couple, which made the decision in September 2021, welcomed their first baby in their marriage for three years. “Welcome to the center of our world Tove Jane McDowell,” Collins and McDowell subtitled a joint baby announcement via Instagram in January 2025.
That same day, McDowell responded to criticism of their ‘path to a baby’, writing via Instagram, “It’s ok not to be an expert in surrogacy.”
He added: “It’s ok not to know why someone needs a surrogate to have a child. It is ok not to know the motivations of a surrogate, regardless of what you are accepting. And it is ok to spend less time spitting hateful words in the world, especially with regard to a beautiful baby girl that has brought a lot of love into people’s lives. “
McDowell finished on a funny note and wrote: “That’s all for now because she has just pooped and I have to change her diaper.”
