‘Life Unexpected’ Cast: Where Are They Now?
The CWs Life unexpectedly created a family on and off screen.
“I lived with them Shiri [Appleby] while we were filming, so I got to know her really well and we had a good connection, but Kris [Polaha] is like my big brother role model,” actress Britt Robertsonwho played as Lux, flocked Seventeen in April 2010.
Life unexpectedly debuted in January 2010 and followed teenager Lux as she sought emancipation from the foster care system in Portland. Her path led her to discover the identities of her biological parents, Nate “Baze” Bazile (Polaha) and Cate Cassidy (Appleby), who placed her in the system after a teenage pregnancy and subsequent breakup. Instead of being emancipated, Lux was placed under their joint custody. The show was eventually canceled after the second season.
“I was completely surprised,” maker Liz Tigelaar told the Los Angeles Times in January 2011. “I always thought we would keep going and I thought we would reach our endgame, which was Cate and Baze eventually finding their way to each other on some level.”
