Liam Payne’s accusers say why they accused his friend of abandonment
Liam PayneThe close friend from Buenos Aires, whom Buenos Aires authorities want to prosecute for ‘abandonment’, knew that Liam had fallen off the car, but still left him alone … prosecutors claim in an official document obtained by TMZ. But there’s a twist… a judge ruled that these prosecutors don’t have standing to charge the friend with abandonment.
Roger Nores had been extremely close to Liam in the last months of his life. The two traveled to Argentina together, but Liam stayed alone at the CasaSur Hotel and Roger stayed elsewhere.
According to the documents, Liam’s father was interviewed by authorities and said that Roger had volunteered to take over Liam’s care and arrange rehab for him in May 2024. The documents say Liam’s father said it was crucial that Liam was always busy and never alone.
Liam’s father said he became alarmed in September after his son fired a bodyguard who tried to stop him taking drugs.
Prosecutors say Roger knew Liam was clearly upset. They say that at 10 p.m. the night before Liam died, Liam ordered four bottles of whiskey, and at 6:36 a.m. the next morning ordered five more bottles of whiskey. They say that at 7am he texted Roger: “Dude, I think I’m going to fuck a whore.” And authorities say Liam texted Roger at 9:32 a.m.: “Can you get 6 grams?” …presumably referring to cocaine.
They say that when Roger arrived at the hotel, they went to breakfast where Liam drank whiskey. The maid went to the room while they were having breakfast and said the room was trashed. Authorities say Liam went back to the room after breakfast and the maid said he searched chaotically for something and eventually found a “powder.”
At 11:30 am, 2 prostitutes showed up… and told the police they had sex with Liam. They say he asked them for cocaine because he was away. They also say Liam became enraged when they asked for payment and punched the TV three times.
Around 2 p.m., authorities say he asked a hotel employee… “I need another 7 grams for today.”
According to the documents, Roger returned to the hotel at 3:45 p.m. to pay the prostitutes, and at 4 p.m. an employee claimed that Liam was “visibly drunk” with dilated pupils. At 4:04 PM Roger left the hotel. A short time later, a housekeeper heard Liam breaking objects in his room, and someone from the hotel tried to call Roger, but he didn’t answer. At 4:25 PM Roger texted Liam: “How are you?” but Liam didn’t respond.
Sources connected to Roger tell TMZ … he checked on Liam three times the day he died and insists that when he left Liam at the hotel about an hour before the fatal fall from the balcony, Liam was fine and there was no evidence was that he was underground. influence of anything.
Now for the twist… the prosecutors who wrote this document are national prosecutors, but a judge has ruled that any case involving alleged abandonment must be handled by local prosecutors. Therefore, the judge told national prosecutors that they had no jurisdiction to prosecute abandonment. So far, no charges have been filed by local prosecutors. National prosecutors tried to appeal the judge’s ruling, but the appeal was rejected.
As TMZ reported: 3 hotel employees grabbed Liam by the arms and legs against his will and took him to his room. Documents show that the first time they did this, Liam got back into the elevator and when the lobby door opened, he was unconscious, but regained consciousness, entered the lobby and collapsed again. They took him upstairs and left him alone in the room.
As we reported, one of the employees who transported Liam called 911 and said they were afraid he would hurt himself because of the balcony… suggesting Liam may have said he would use the balcony to escape.
In fact, it looks like Liam tried to do just that, because he put on a hat, strapped a bag to his shoulder, and apparently dropped a leather bag from his third-floor balcony onto the second-floor balcony directly below. It appears Liam was trying to climb to the second floor balcony when he fell to his death.
