Liam Payne’s 911 transcript reportedly reveals moments before death
Shortly before Liam Payne fell to his death from a balcony, a hotel manager reportedly called 911 to report that the former One Direction star was drunk and trashing his room.
According to a 911 transcript obtained by several media outlets, Payne was in the throes of a complete breakdown in his room on the third floor of the CasaSur Hotel in Palermo, Buenos Aires.
CNN and La Nacion say the manager called a 911 operator to get help on Wednesday around 5 p.m. Here’s a recap of their alleged conversation…
The operator opened by asking about the type of emergency happening at the hotel.
The manager said there was a guest “overpowered by drugs and alcohol,” and he was tearing up his hotel room, so they needed help.
The operator questioned the alcohol and drug claim, but the manager confirmed it before urgently asking for help again.
The manager also expressed concern that the guest’s life was in danger, noting that the person had stayed in the room for two or three days and hotel staff could not gain access.
After some more calling back and forth, the operator said the police were on their way to the hotel.
Unfortunately, by the time the police arrived, Liam had already fallen from the balcony of his third-floor room and lay dead on the floor below.
Police have launched an investigation to determine whether Liam’s death was intentional, accidental or suicide.
