Liam Neeson says he’s done with action movies at the age of 72
Liam Neeson hangs it up and retires…at least when it comes to action movies.
The ‘Taken’ star revealed his plans to retire from filming action movies in 2025 in a new interview with PEOPLE… in which he explained… “I’m 72 – it has to stop at some point.”
Liam is known for performing his own fight scenes – although he does use a stunt double for bigger moments – and he says it’s just not believable that he would be fighting villains in their 70s.
Liam puts it this way: “You can’t fool the audience.” He also says he doesn’t want his stunt double Mark Vanselow fights his fight scenes for him.
The thing is… Liam didn’t become an action hero until he starred in ‘Taken’ in 2008… when he was already 56 years old.
But Father Time is undefeated… and it sounds like Liam is happy with how his action career went.
While Liam is moving away from action movies, he’s off to do his thing in Hollywood… at least with other genres… and he just wrapped up the “Naked Gun” reboot.
