Jennifer Love Hewitt heard about her mother’s death through the news
Although Hewitt privately mourned her mother, her new Christmas movie The holiday junkiedraws inspiration from her experiences celebrating the holidays without Patricia.
Jennifer said, “We had a board where everyone brought pictures of their loved ones who passed away, and every day we dedicated the film to each of them.”
She commented, “I really didn’t want it to feel like it was just my experience. I wanted it to be for everyone. So it was a lot of fun because at the end the crew and everyone said, ‘I felt like I “I felt really honored by my father,” or “I felt like I really honored my grandmother,” or “I felt like they were here with us.” It felt like it was a journey for everyone, and I think we all felt like we let that go when it was done, and it was beautiful in that way.
