‘Hacks’ star Jean Smart says families shouldn’t talk about politics during Thanksgiving

Jean Slim says there’s one thing off the table at Thanksgiving meals this year: election talk.
We had the “Hacks” actress at the LA Mission on Wednesday, where she was handing out turkey dinners to the homeless, and our photographer asked her if people should bring up politics at their holiday gatherings.
There’s a lot of talk about families not inviting their relatives based on who they voted for a few weeks ago… and Jean says everyone will be a lot better off if they just play nice and present a united front.
But that’s easier said than done… and it doesn’t sound like Jean will easily let the people on the other side of the aisle get out when it’s time to carve the turkey.
Jean admits that her plan to confront family members about politics probably won’t go over too well… and she says it’s best if most people wait until Easter to argue. Trump And Harris.
In short… don’t blame your relatives for politics.
