Guidde taps AI to help create software training videos

Making company training videos for software is a time -consuming test, especially if you are an organization with many software licenses. Training videos can help employees inform, but they are a big lift. They often bring entire teams to produce.
Tel Aviv-based entrepreneur YOAV Einav thought that there might be an alternative, cheaper way to make software training videos. So he worked with a friend, then Sahar, to build it. In 2020 their project became a startup: Guide.
Guidde uses AI to automatically create video clips that instruct viewers about the use of various applications. It works by capturing the in-app activity of a user and then transforming the recording into a video with a ‘storyline’.
Guidde-created videos can optionally contain an AI-generated voice in a desired language, background music and tags that emphasize important aspects of the functionality of a software app. Guidde also offers basic video processing aids with effects such as movement transitions, frame -diming adjustment and cropping.

You may be wondering: people actually do watch Train videos? It is a fair question. According to For a Kultura survey from 2019, 67% of the employees admit that they do not give full training videos their full attention, instead skim the videos or listen to them while they do something else.
Einav thinks it’s a two -fold problem. Often, he said, his training videos are not very compelling – the production quality is not particularly high. Moreover, the videos are usually buried in difficult interfaces to navigate.
That is why Guidde has immersed a toe in Video recommendations in recent months and launches a position called Guidde Broadcast who delivers personalized content to the staff of a company. Einav described it as a “Netflix for organizations”-a way to stimulate software involvement by offering contextual, “just-in-time” training content within the workflow of a user.
Guidde has a steadily positive growth process, according to Einav, with an increased income with four times in the last 12 months. The company’s platform now serves more than 100,000 users in 2,000 organizations, including American Eagle Outfitters, Carta and Nasdaq.

This month, 35 employees assured $ 15 million in new financing in a round led by Qualcomm Ventures. By raising the total of the startup to $ 30 million, the new money will be used to expand the localization aids of Guidde, the sale of companies and customer success, and the presence of the global market, Einav said.
