Fans of Green Day received much more than they had negotiated when they showed up for the film call of the rock band … Because TMZ has learned that they have entered a completely free concert!
TMZ’s Got The Deets – Hundreds of fans flowed to the Hollywood Palladium on Tuesday after the casting calling for a New Year’s Eve performance scene for the upcoming film by Green Day, “New Year’s Rev” … and you can see from the clip, the line literally wrapped the block.

Sources tell us that the band turned upside down for hours and played all their biggest hits while cameras rolled – which means that these happy super fans scored a free green day concert!
It was certainly a tight ship – fans had to request tickets in advance, and the casting call came with a laundry list with forbidden items … including backpacks, outside food, gums, chairs and more.

The fans were encouraged to get camera-ready in punk outfits and their favorite green day merchandus, and telephones were taken at the door to prevent leaks.
The film, produced by Live Nation Productions, is a coming-of-age story about 3 friends played by Mason Thames” Kyler CoffmanAnd Ryan Foust – who chases their Rockster dreams into LA, wrongly thinking that their band will open for Green Day on New Year’s Eve.
