Google DeepMind, Cohere, and Twelve Labs join Sessions: AI

There seems to be a new, more impressive AI model every week. How can founders, in view of the rapid pace, best position themselves to build on top of this technology? Bee WAN Sessions: AIOn June 5 in Zellerbach Hall in UC Berkeley, we will organize a panel about “how founders can build on existing fundamental models” to answer some existential questions with which AI startups are confronted.
We are very happy that leaders of Google DeepMind, Cochere and twelve labs – three companies at the forefront of AI model development – are to help us answer some of these questions.
Participants can hear directly from the source about what AI model developers are then trying to build, how to improve AI models and where founders have to (and should not) build. If you want to learn to grow with the AI model developers, and is not crushed or left by them, this is the panel for you.
About our speakers
TC Sessions: AI is accompanied by Logan Kilpatrick, senior product manager at Google DeepMind. We will also be accompanied by Sara Hooker, the head of Colhere for AI – the AI Research Lab in one of the most popular AI startups from Silicon Valley, Colhere. Specialized in AI for Enterprise, Cohere has a unique insight into how companies today use AI Foundation models. Hooker is a generally respected AI researcher who spent many years with Google, and she was named one of the 100 most influential people in AI in 2024.
Finally, our panel will come to Jae Lee, the founder and CEO of twelve labs, a startup Building AI Foundation models that can analyze and search videos. Twelve laboratories – which is supported by Nvidia, Samsung and Intel – builds AI models that can help you find exact moments in videos, just by just asking in just English. The startup has so far raised more than $ 100 million, and his supporters believe that his video models will create new companies and use cases for AI in the video world.
