Fletcher’s ideal post-show party includes pizza and early 2000s music
Fletcher plays sold-out shows around the world to thousands of fans, but when it comes to post-show parties, she likes to keep it simple.
“[My ideal afterparty is] Honestly, something quiet and low-crowd like a dive bar with pool tables or pizza in my dressing room while my speaker plays songs from the early 2000s [while I’m] dancing with the band and crew,” says Fletcher, 30 We weekly exclusively in her Backstage Pass feature in the latest issue of the magazineon newsstands now. “I’ve done that a few times and they’re some of my favorite memories.”
After you arrive at Panic! in the Disco on their Viva Las Vengeance tour of North America and Europe last year, Fletcher (born Cari Elise Fletcher) now embarks on her own worldwide tour, Looking for the antidote.
“[I’m] I’m so happy to be back on stage and traveling the country to see your faces singing back these songs,” Fletcher wrote via Instagram in her announcement post for a tour. “I’ve dreamed of playing some of these venues all my life. I graduated from Radio City and lived down the street from The Greek and saw so many favorite artists there. Little Cari is annoyed that Fletcher will see you there in the fall.”

Pre-show ritual
I do stretching, a vocal warm-up and a body warm-up. I usually do my own hair and makeup, which allowed me to get in a zone and channel all the nerves into something creative. Before we go on stage, the band and I also hold hands and set an intention about what we want to bring to the show. Whether that’s a word or just a feeling, it helps us get to the heart of what feels true at that moment.
Craziest tour experience
I feel like my whole life is one crazy touring experience. I’ve spent most of the last few years on the road and it’s been such a dream to travel the world. I did a sold-out edition in Europe a few months ago, and it never ceases to amaze me when I get to play there.
Favorite song to play live
It’s constantly changing. Right now it’s ‘Doing Better’ because I like hearing everyone shout the lyrics along with me.
