Cause of death of Super Bowl champion Jacoby Jones revealed

Jacoby Jones‘ The cause of death is known… TMZ Sports has learned that the Super Bowl champion has died of hypertensive cardiovascular disease.

The medical examiner released details of the shocking death on Tuesday, saying the 40-year-old died of heart disease caused by long-term high blood pressure.

The manner of death was listed as natural.

“My brother, you will be truly missed,” Hall of Famer Ray Lewis said shortly after the death of his Ravens teammate.

Jones – a former Lane College receiver – was a third-round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft and played five seasons with the Houston Texans.

The 6-foot-1 athlete went on to play for the Ravens and win Super Bowl XLVII. He also had brief stints with the Chargers and Steelers.
