Biden beams at Kamala campaign event and says dropping out was ‘the right thing to do’
President Biden speaks out after withdrawing from and endorsing the 2024 elections Kamala Harris …beaming at a campaign event and saying he made the right choice.
POTUS called his campaign headquarters in Wilmington, DE, which is now Kamala’s, on Monday and told his staffers that his decision to drop out of the race for the White House was “the right thing to do.”
Biden says he would have been at Kamala’s big event in person if he hadn’t been there saddled with COVID …and he vows to be super involved on the campaign trail and look for his vice president as soon as he’s able.
The Prez addressed his staffers via audio call for about four minutes … the first time we’ve heard from Biden since he abruptly announced Sunday that he passing the torch. Sometimes his voice was hoarse and he sounded like he was still somewhat confused.
Biden thanked his staff for all the hard work they did to get him the nomination and told them they would love working for Kamala.
No Zoom or video calls from Biden here, it’s purely his voice over a speaker… so it looks like he literally picked up a phone and called from his beach house in Delaware where he’s isolating while he fights the virus. Old school of dude.
It looks like we’ll see Biden soon, but he says he’ll stay away from people for a few more days before he gets back to governing.
