Banijay Up Steve Matthews and Johannes Jensen in Scripted Rejig
The European TV giant Banijay Entertainment-Wiens have produced more than 60 labels of recent shows as “Rogue Heroes”, “Ripley” and “The Rig”-has expanded the roles of two execs while re-making its worldwide script division.
As part of a new combined leadership structure, Steve Matthews has been named head of Scripted, Creative and Johannes Jensen Hoofd van Scripted, Business. The two will work together and report on Chief Business Officer, Frédéric Balmary, who will continue to lead the general strategic direction.
HBO -Alumni Matthews joined the Banijay in early 2023 as a content partner’s leader and reported to Christian Wikander, who served as a global head of scripted until his departure in February 2024. Since he is a member of he has introduced various initiatives to collaboration in the business labels worldwide stimulate. Jensen Nieuwe Rol is expanding his current assignment as head of Scripted for Banijay Noordic, where he now took the helm of the financial and operational strategy of the Scripted Division. Jensen previous LED banners Jarowskij and Yellow Bird, now merged as Jarowskij/ Yellow Bird.

There are also in the newly arranged Central Scripted Division, senior director Denis Leroy, who specializes in purchasing and developing international script formats and books IP. Leroy has led much -praised adjustments such as “Skam”, “Fleagag” and “La Caza. Monterpedido,” in France, and closed countless deals for the best -selling French IP such as Franck Thilliez and Michael Bussi.
